Unit4 When is Easter? PartB read and write

教学目标 1. 认知目标

(1) 能够在图片的帮助下读懂日记并按照正确的语音、语调和意群朗读日记;

(2) 能够在语境中理解生词: kitten, diary, still, noise, fur, open, walk; (3) 能够根据日记内容完成连线和仿写句子的活动; (4) 能够完成拓展阅读的有关练习。 2. 能力目标

(1) 能够正确运用阅读策略,养成良好的阅读习惯; (2) 能够通过小组合作,互助学习。 3. 情感目标

(1) 培养学生积极猜测,勇敢表达的学习态度。 (2) 培养学生关爱动物的情感。 2学情分析

学生在本册第三单元中已经学习了12个月份的英语表达以及询问并回答学校活动举行的月份的句型:When is …? It’s in …;通过本单元前面几个课时的学习,学生已经掌握了序数词的表达以及询问并回答节日或生日日期的句型:When is …? It’s on …,并且已经了解中西方重要节日的日期,特别是复活节的文化知识;另外,学生对动物成长这一话题比较感兴趣,对即将学习的知识充满好奇心,这些都将为本课时的

学习做好准备。

五年级的学生已经具有一定程度的听、说、读、写能力,但是部分学生还未能掌握正确的学习策略,尤其是阅读策略。学生在阅读过程中遇到生僻或抽象的词汇时,便会产生焦虑等消极情绪,导致阅读困难。在本课教学中,我利用多媒体信息技术,设计新颖有趣的闯关任务,突出重点,解决难点,加强对学生阅读策略的指导,帮助学生掌握正确的阅读方法,养成良好的阅读习惯,同时,培养学生良好的合作学习能力。 3重点难点 1. 教学重点:

(1) 能够借助图片读懂日记并根据日记完成连线和仿写句子等活动; (2) 能够正确运用阅读策略,完成各项闯关任务。 2. 教学难点:

(1) 能够通过小组合作复述日记;

(2) 能够通过创设的情景仿写日记和句子。 4教学过程 4.1第六学时 4.1.1教学活动

活动1【导入】Step 1 Pre-reading 1. Sing the song: The twelve months

2. Ask and answer: When is your birthday? My birthday is on … 3. Look and say: Show some pictures of baby animals. When is the puppy

/bunny/lamb’s birthday? It’s on …

4. When is the kitten’s birthday? It’s on …Watch a short video about a kitten, and teach the new word kitten. Then enjoy some pictures of cute kittens.

设计意图: 通过询问学生的生日自然过渡到小动物的生日,激活已有知识;利用直观有趣的短视频展示小猫成长的过程,引出话题kitten,激发学生阅读兴趣。

活动2【讲授】Step 2 While-reading

Show a picture of a pregnant cat and two new kittens, and say: Sarah’s cat has two kittens. Do you want to know how the kittens grow up? Please read Sarah’s diary and finish some tasks. Divide the class into four groups. The group which is the most active in this class will get the cards of the kittens as gifts. Task 1: Quick respond

Ask students to skim the diary and answer the following question quickly.

When is the kittens’ birthday? It’s on _________. 设计意图:通过快速抢答任务,初步整体感知文本。 Task 2: Order and match

1. Show the pictures of the four dates in the diaries. Ask students to order and read. Then let students tell how old the kittens are on each day.

2. Show the four pictures of the kittens and ask students to match the dates with the right pictures.

设计意图:通过日期排序和图片连线活动,增加阅读趣味性。 Task 3: Look and say

1. Show the four dates on the screen and ask students to guess what the kittens will be like on each day. Then present the four pictures of the kittens and the diaries. Let students listen to the diary and find the key words.

2. Help students to understand the new words: still, noise, fur, open and walk in the context or with the help of sounds and pictures.

设计意图:通过猜一猜活动,活跃学生思维,激活已有知识;通过看图读图和找关键词活动,培养学生获取关键信息的能力。

活动3【活动】Step 3 Post-reading Task 4: Listen and read

1. Play the tape and ask students to listen and repeat.

2. Give them several minutes to read by themselves. Walk around the classroom and offer language help if needed.

3. Invite four students to read each diary to the class. Help to correct their pronunciation and intonation.

设计意图:通过听读活动,整体感知文本,进一步熟悉文本,并指导学生按照正确的语音、语调和意群朗读日记。

Task 5: Retell the diary

Leave blanks for some key words. Ask students to work in pairs and retell each diary with the help of the blackboard design.

设计意图:通过填空的形式复述文本,并充分利用板书内容,及时回顾所学知识,同时提高口语表达能力。 Task 6: Match and write

1. Ask students to read the three sentences and match them with the correct dates, and then write two sentences about the kittens. 2. Encourage students to write more sentences. 4.___________________________________ 5.___________________________________ 设计意图:通过连线和仿写活动巩固目标语言。 Task 7: Extending Reading

1. Show a picture of a newborn animal and ask students to guess what the animal is.

2. Present Sam’s diaries about his bunny, and ask students to read and tick or cross:

⑴ The bunny can see on May 21st. ( )

⑵ The bunny can jump and play with a toy on June 22nd. ( ) ⑶ The bunny can eat carrots on October 23rd. ( )

3. Ask students to read again and write three sentences about the bunny. ⑴ _________________________________________.

⑵ _________________________________________. ⑶ __________________________________________.

Invite several students to read to the class by presenting their sentences on the screen using the projector.

4. After finishing all the tasks, give the group which is the most active in this class the cards of the kittens as gifts.

5. Play a short funny video about animals. Cultivate students to care about animals.

设计意图:拓展视野,扩大阅读量,提高学生阅读能力及口语表达能力;作品投影,一目了然,及时纠正书写错误;通过生动有趣的短视频,舒缓放松,渗透情感。

活动4【作业】Step 4 Homework 1. Share Sarah’s diary with your parents.

2. If you have a pet, keep a short diary and write two sentences about the pet.

设计意图:课后延伸,提高写作能力。
