Recently we human beings live in a high-technology and fast-rhythm society. But we are faced with more and more problems, such as houses, cars, jobs, marriages. And all these problems lead to a much more serious problem, mental disease. Mental disease is more serious than any other disease. Although mental disease will not kill anyone immediately, it will make people depraved and negative. Even worse, a person who has mental disease may commit suicide or commit a crime.

For instance, during April and May, many children were killed in many areas of our country. What’s worse, in any one murderer, over five children were killed. Many people in our country and in the world had paid close attention to these events. And all the murders said they had difficulties in their life, so they wanted to revenge the society and the people who had a happy life. This example is one of the most serious events in our country in these years. And during May, 12 workers in the company of Fushikang committed suicide during about half of a month. It was said that the salaries were much too low and the workers could not make a living. It was also said that the workers must work a long time a day, but the treatment was bad. So these reasons made the workers think they just had one way to rescue themselves, that was suicide. These two events above were both caused by the mental disease. And the disease was caused by the difficulties of the life.

So one of the reasons that caused these problems is the difficulty of the life. The people who can’t make a living will lose hope of the life, and there will be some problems in mental health. But this reason is just skin-deep. There are many

deep reasons hiding behind the surface. First, the responsibility of the society. We live in this country. And the society has the responsibility to let everyone survive. Like the workers of Fushikang, the government must have known the situation of the workers. But why the government didn’t pay much attention to it. After one worker died, the government still didn’t care about it. So did the company. The company didn’t take any measure until there 12 workers committing suicide. But these measures don’t reach the deep basic. They can just make the company peace for a piece of time. Second, the responsibility of the family. As we know, home is the harbor of our heart. We are the most real when we are faced with our families. We can share our happiness and sadness with our families. When a family member meet same difficulties, the others can help him and enlighten him. But nowadays, even if in the family, the people don’t care too much about other family members. Third, the responsibility of the education. In our country, many people have no money to go to school. The cost is too high, especially some good school. The children who can’t go to school just can work in the society and will be influenced by the bad social atmosphere easily. They will not have a balance mentality. The education department has said that the school can not ask the students to pay tuitions and fees. But almost all the schools ask the students to pay some money in other ways. As a result, many children can’t go to school to be educated. The less education the people receive, the more possibly they will commit crimes and suicide. Fourth, the responsibility of the people themselves. Nowadays, many people don't care much about others. They just think about themselves. And they don’t have balance mentality. They don’t understand how to adjust themselves to the society or the bad situation. They just blame everyone and everything but themselves. So they want to revenge the others, and even they

don’t want to live on any longer.

As cadets, I think the most important reason is the responsibility of the education. Why can’t many students go to school to do the things they should have done. They should have been the future of our country. But now they are the destroyers of the development of our society. And even in the school, many schools just ask the students to do the examination and to help the school raise the rate of the graduation. The teachers don’t let the students know how to think of their life and their future. And the teachers don’t make the students have good mentality. So the students just have the ability to solve the difficult subject, but they can’t meet the difficulty in their life.

So how to make people have a good mental health? First, the school should add some psychology class to let students have good mentality. Second, the education department should practice the policy that the school can’t ask the students to pay the tuitions and fees. Third, the people themselves should read some psychological books and try to care about others.

From all the things above, we can know that the problem of the mental health is more serious than anything. And we must solve this problem immediately. If not, the rate of crime and suicide will increase again. The reasons are many. But the vital reason is the education. We must strengthen the education practically. Only in this way, the problem of the mental health can be solved.
