People rest and entertain here, gather crowds to discuss,

beat drums and report letters, welcome and send guests, step on the hall to worship ancestors, and so on. This is the place where the most important things happen in Dongzhai.

There are more than 300 households in Huanggang Dongzhai, but there are actually 5 Drum Towers alone. Legend has it that because Huanggang's ancestors were 5 brothers, the 5 brothers later lived and multiplied, evolved into 5 large ethnic groups, so 5 drum towers were built. The unique feature of the drum tower in Huanggang is that each drum tower hangs a wooden board with 24 solar terms written on it for everyone to grasp the solar terms. Each drum tower also has two dragons, which come to life.

Regarding the number of eaves of the drum tower, in fact, there is also exquisite, the most unified statement is \"to be singular\". As for why it is singular, the old people of the Dong ethnic group only say that it is a rule set by the ancestors.
