Revise the activities we have learned so far. Step 2 Presentation 1. Present some pictures and guide the students to say the activities by asking what did you do last weekend. Then show some sentences and ask students to fill in the blanks according to the pictures. 2. Guide the students to finish 1a, then check the answers. Lead in questions “What did you do last weekend?” and give answers. Then let Ss ask and answer in pairs about 1a like this : --- What did you do last weekend ? --- Well on Saturday morning , I played badminton. Step 3 Listening practice 1.Let the students listen and write the day, “morning”, “afternoon” or “night” below each picture. Play the recording twice. 2. Ask the students to answer questions like this: Lucy played badminton on Saturday morning. Step 4 Pair work Ask the students to work in pairs, ask and answer about Lucy’s weekend. Then invite some pairs to act out. Answer the teacher’s questions. Arouse the students’ interest and lead in the class. 1.Learn the new words and the target language. 2.Finish the task in 1a. Help the students’ to master the new words and the target language of this unit. Listen and finish 1b. Improve the students’ listening ability. Make their own dialogues and act them out. Train the students’ speaking ability. Step 5 Listening practice 1.Here is a conversation. Look at the picture and guess where the conversation happens? Oh, yes, it happens in class. Guess what they are talking about? Now let’s listen to the tape and underline the words you hear. 2.Listen again. Write C for Carol, J for Jack or B for Listen and finish 2a &2b.
