August 15th , 2016 Thursday Sunny

Today is a traditional Chinese festival---Mid-Autumn’s Festival. As a national legal festival, we have three days off . I am very glad to have this festival,when you can eat traditional food, the mooncakes, enjoy the moonlight, and hear traditional Chinese legends about the fairy Chang’e and the woodcutter Wugang.

At 6:30 am , my father woke me up. I was a little unpleasant. As this was too early for me! But my father insisted that “early to bed and early to rise makes a person healthy , wealthy and wise”. He likes pulling me up from my bed to do morning exercise with him . After running for two laps, we ran back home . Mom had prepared the breakfast , i ate one steamed bun and drank a bowl of bean-curd.

When we finished breakfast , it was already about 8:00 o’clock. Dad went to the supermarket and bought two cages of mooncakes . When he came back , mother had dressed herself up . Dad drove us to the house of my grandparents for a family get-together. When we got there , my grandma was very happy. She brought out many snacks and fruits for me . Then she got busy preparing the lunch . Grandpa then proposed to play chess with me . Of course i was not a match for him . We ate the delicious dishes prepared by grandma . And talked with each other untill 5:00 pm.

Next, we went to the People’s Square. When we got there and ate supper together with my grandparents at a restaurant. After supper, we enjoyed the fireworks display . It was spectacular! After the fireworks display , we went back home . I took a bath and was prepared to get on bed. ”
