摘要：An endoscopic optical system includes an elongate metal housing with a circularopening in its end in which a transparent window is received. The window has a cylindricalouter edge surface which is metallized over at least part of its area and is opposed to thecylindrical internal surface of the opening. An annular solder joint is provided in the gap

between the opposed cylindrical surfaces. The solder joint has a thickness in the directionperpendicular to the window which is only a proportion of the thickness of the window.
