摘要：The invention concerns a handle for an item of cookware, in particular cookwarefor roasting, baking or boiling purposes, which handle can be secured by a securingelement to the side of an item of cookware and does not present problems as concernsspace for packaging, storage, transportation and the intended use of the cookware, andwhich nevertheless, during use, provides a relatively long length of handle projectingradially from the item of cookware. According to the invention, the handle (3) or asubstantial part thereof can be pivoted about a vertical axis (4) out of an operatingposition in which the handle projects transversely from the cookware (1) into a restposition in which the handle is approximately parallel or tangential to the side of the itemof cookware or in which it engages over the aperture or surface of the item of cookware.
