My Super Fun Weekend

Last weekend was the best! On Friday after school, I was so excited because I didn't have any homework. My mom picked me up and we went straight home. When we got there, I changed out of my school clothes into something more comfortable. I put on my favorite t-shirt with a rocket ship on it and a pair of comfy shorts.

Then I went outside to play with my friend Jake who lives next door. We rode our bikes up and down the street for a while. After that, we played catch in Jake's backyard. His dog Buster tried to play too by chasing after the ball whenever we threw it. Buster is a funny dog! Eventually Jake's mom called him inside for dinner, so I went home too.

When I got home, my dad was already there from work. He gave me a big hug and asked how my day was. I told him it was good and that I was hungry. My mom made my favorite meal of

chicken nuggets, french fries, and broccoli. I ate two big platefuls!

After dinner, my parents said we could have a family movie night. We all piled on the couch under blankets and watched The Lion King. I've seen it a million times but it's still so good! During the movie, we ate popcorn and candy. By the time it ended, I could barely keep my eyes open. I went to bed and had the best sleep.

On Saturday morning, I woke up to the smell of pancakes. My dad had made a huge stack with butter and syrup. My favorite! After breakfast, my parents said we were going to the park. I cheered and got dressed super fast.

At the park, I played on the swings and the seesaw. I also went down the twisty slide about a hundred times. My parents pushed me really high on the merry-go-round until I felt like I was going to spin right off! After the park, we got ice cream cones from the truck parked outside. I got chocolate chip cookie dough, my absolute favorite flavor.

When we got home, I was pretty tired from running around at the park. I laid on the couch and watched some TV while my dad took a nap. Later that night, we ordered pizza for dinner. We

got a plain cheese one for my parents, and a pepperoni one for me. I love pizza night!

On Sunday morning, my parents let me sleep in a little bit. When I woke up, I could smell something baking. My mom had made zucchini bread! She always makes the best baked goods. I had a couple of slices for breakfast with a glass of orange juice. After breakfast, my dad said we were going miniature golfing. I was so excited because I love miniature golf! We went to the course with the fun obstacles and funny decorations. On one hole, you had to hit the ball through a windmill. On another, you had to go up and down a small hill. The course even had a few water obstacles that I tried really hard not to hit my ball into. My dad let me keep score, and I beat both of my parents! For winning, they bought me an ice cream sundae after we finished our 18 holes.

When we got home from miniature golfing, I spent the afternoon playing with my toys and watching a movie. Before I knew it, it was time for dinner again. My mom made chicken parmesan, which is one of my other favorite meals. I ate so much food that weekend!

After dinner, my parents said it was time to get ready for bed because I had school in the morning. I took a bath and put on my

coziest pajamas. Then I got into bed and my dad read me a bedtime story. I fell asleep feeling so happy after such a fun weekend.

Those two days went by way too fast! I can't wait for another weekend so I can make more fun memories. Weekends are the best!

What I Did Last Weekend

Last weekend was so much fun! I got to do a bunch of my favorite things. On Saturday morning, I woke up really early because I was so excited. I had slept over at my friend Tommy's house the night before for his birthday sleepover party.

After we all woke up, Tommy's mom made us a big breakfast with pancakes, eggs, bacon, and hash browns. It was delicious! Then we went into the living room and opened all of Tommy's presents. He got some really cool new video games, action figures, and Lego sets. I gave him a Marvel shirt that had all the Avengers on it. He loved it!

Once we were done opening gifts, we spent a few hours playing some of Tommy's new video games. We played the latest Super Smash Bros game and took turns trying to beat each

other's high scores. Video games are my favorite thing to do when I hang out with friends.

Around lunchtime, Tommy's dad ordered us a bunch of pizzas and we allpiled onto the couch to watch a movie and eat. We watched the new Spider-Man movie that just came out. I'd already seen it but I didn't mind watching it again because it's so good! About halfway through the movie, Tommy's dad brought us out ice cream sundaes for dessert. I put tons of chocolate syrup, sprinkles, whipped cream, and a cherry on top of mine. After the movie ended, it was time for me and the other boys to get picked up and go home. I said goodbye to Tommy and thanked him for the awesome sleepover party. When I got home, I was pretty tired from staying up so late, so I just kind of chilled out and played some games on my Nintendo Switch for the rest of the evening.

On Sunday morning, I woke up and got ready to go to my nephew's tee-ball game. My little nephew Jacob is 5 years old and he just started playing tee-ball this spring. It's basically baseball but instead of a pitcher, they just put the ball on a rubber tee and the kids take turns hitting it. Jacob's team is called the Ducks and they all wear green shirts and caps.

My whole family came to watch Jacob's game - my parents, my brother and sister-in-law, my grandparents, aunts and uncles. We all brought chairs and snacks and set up on the sidelines to cheer Jacob on. He's still just learning, but he was really good at hitting the ball when it was his turn to bat. One time he even got a home run! We all jumped up and down cheering for him. After Jacob's game was over, we all went back to my brother's house for a little cookout in their backyard. My brother grilled hamburgers and hot dogs for everyone. I like to load my burger up with lots of ketchup, mustard, pickles and onions. For the sides, we had potato salad, baked beans, corn on the cob and watermelon slices. Everything tasted amazing and I stuffed myself!

When we were done eating, some of the bigger kids like me and my older cousins had a whiffle ball game in the backyard. The adults just sat around talking and relaxing after the meal. I was on a team with my cousin Dylan and we ended up winning the whiffle ball game 12-10. It was a close one!

As the evening went on, we had make-your-own ice cream sundaes for dessert. I piled my bowl really high with multiple scoops of ice cream and tons of toppings again. I snuck a few cherries and extra scoops when my parents weren't looking!

Finally it was starting to get dark out, so we did some fun sparklers in the backyard before it was time for my family to head home. I had such an awesome weekend spending time with my friends and family. I can't wait for my next weekend of fun!

Last Weekend's Fun!

Hey friends! I'm so excited to tell you all about my super fun weekend. It was the best ever! I did so many awesome things. Let me start from the beginning...

On Friday after school, Mom picked me up and we went straight home. I was really hungry so I had a snack of apple slices and peanut butter. Yum! Then Mom said we were gonna do something special for dinner. We went to my favorite restaurant, the pizza place downtown. I ordered a slice of pepperoni pizza which is my number one favorite food in the whole wide world! We also got breadsticks and I dipped them in ranch dressing. So good!

After dinner, we went back home and I got into my pajamas. Mom let me stay up a little late to watch a movie. We had a nice snuggly movie night on the couch. I picked my most favorite movie, The Lion King! Have you seen it? It's about a little lion cub

named Simba who has to go on a big adventure. Too bad I fell asleep before the end though. Movies always make me sleepy! The next morning, I woke up bright and early feeling refreshed. Mom made my favorite breakfast - chocolate chip pancakes! I put lots of syrup on top. Once I was done eating, I got dressed quickly because we were going to the park! The weather was beautiful and sunny.

At the park, I played on the swings and went down the big twisty slide about a million times. I also played on the seesaw with a new friend I met named Tommy. After a while of running around, we got tired so we just rolled around in the grass. It was so nice out!

For lunch, we had a picnic at the park. Mom packed us turkey sandwiches, baby carrots, Goldfish crackers, and juice boxes. I just love picnics! When we finished eating, Mom took me over to the pond where we fed the ducks. I brought stale bread from home and crumbled it up for them. Those ducks were very hungry!

In the afternoon, we went back home and I got to play outside in our backyard. I drew chalk pictures all over the patio. I drew my family, a house, flowers, and even tried to draw our dog Buster! Well, it kind of just looked like a blob but oh well. I had

fun anyway! After a while, I got bored of drawing so I set up a lemonade stand with my little table. I used an old jar for the lemonade and sold it for 25 cents a cup. My first customers were Mom and Dad!

Soon it was dinnertime again already. This time we ordered Chinese takeout - my second favorite food! I got lo mein noodles and an egg roll. Once my belly was full, Dad said it was time for our regular family game night. We played Candy Land, Go Fish, and finally ended with my favorite - Chutes and Ladders! I won that one.

Finally, it was time for bed but I didn't want the night to end. Mom and Dad let me have just one more treat though - we all made hot chocolates and watched part of a movie together before I got too tired. I slept like a log that night after such a busy fun day.

On Sunday, I got up and Mom made her famous French toast for breakfast. My favorite meal of the day! After eating, Dad took me to the science museum downtown. I loved seeing all the cool dinosaur fossils and gemstones. I even got to do a fun experiment making a volcano erupt!

When we got back home from the museum, I played outside in the backyard one more time before dinner. I practiced riding

my bike without the training wheels and Mom cheered me on. I was pedaling like a pro by the end! Though I may have scraped my knee once or twice...

For Sunday dinner, we had a barbecue in our backyard. Dad grilled up hamburgers and hot dogs. We had all the fixings like ketchup, mustard, relish, and even made s'mores over the fire pit for dessert! I got a little dirty from the marshmallow stickiness but it was worth it.

After dinner, we all cuddled up in the living room and watched another movie together. I still can't believe the weekend is over already! I feel like I did so much fun stuff. Being a kid is the best! I'm so lucky I got to spend the whole time with Mom and Dad. Now it's back to school tomorrow, but at least I have these awesome weekend memories!

I hope you enjoyed hearing about my action-packed weekend! Let me know what crazy adventures you got up to as well. I'll talk to you all again very soon. Bye for now!

What I Did Last Weekend

Last weekend was so much fun! I had been really looking forward to it because my parents promised we could do lots of special activities together as a family.

On Friday after school, I raced home, dropped my backpack, and changed into play clothes right away. Mom had already packed a cooler with drinks and snacks for a picnic. We drove to the park near our house and set up our blanket under the big oak tree. The weather was perfect – sunny and warm with just a slight breeze.

Dad unpacked the food and we dug right in. There were peanut butter and jelly sandwiches (my favorite!), baby carrots, grapes, and chocolate chip cookies. I was really hungry after a long week at school, so I ate two whole sandwiches and lots of the sides. For a treat, Mom let me have two cookies instead of just one!

After we had our fill of the yummy picnic food, Dad

suggested we play a game of catch. He took out his old baseball mitt and tossed me a slightly bigger one from the bag he brought. At first I had a hard time catching the ball when he threw it, but after a little while I started getting the hang of it. We ended up running all around the park chasing after missed balls. It was great exercise and we all got good and sweaty.

When we were all tuckered out, we plopped back down on the blanket. Mom got out a book of riddles and we took turns asking each other the silly questions. Every time one of us couldn't figure out the answer, we all cracked up laughing. I learned some new riddles that I could take to school on Monday to stump my friends!

As the sun started going down, we packed up our stuff and headed home. I was one tired kid after all that fresh air and activity! We ordered a pizza for dinner and watched a movie together before I had to go to bed. Overall, it was the perfect way to kick off my weekend.

The next morning, I woke up early with the sun peeking through my curtains. I went downstairs and my parents were already awake drinking coffee. They had a surprise planned for me! After quickly getting dressed, we all piled into the car and headed to the children's museum in the next town over.

I spent hours exploring all the fun interactive exhibits. In one room, I built huge structures out of big plastic pieces that connected together. In another area, I crawled through tunnels and obstacles designed just for kids. My favorite section was the art studio where I made a ceramic bowl by shaping clay on a

pottery wheel. I couldn't wait to show my creation to my teacher and friends on Monday.

After expending so much energy running around and being creative, I had definitely worked up an appetite again. We went to a burger joint for a casual lunch. I ordered a juicy

cheeseburger, fries, and a milkshake. While we ate, Mom and Dad asked me to tell them all about the museum and what I had most enjoyed. I pretty much talked their ears off!

When we got home that afternoon, I was one tuckered out kiddo. While Mom and Dad did some chores around the house, I had strict instructions to go rest and relax in my room for a bit. I didn't mind at all - I plopped on my bed and read some of the latest Dog Man book I had checked out from the school library. Before I knew it, I had fallen into a deep sleep!

Sunday morning, we all slept in a little later than usual. As a treat, Dad made his famous blueberry pancake breakfast for us. With full bellies, we spent the rest of the morning just hanging out and playing some board games together as a family. We made it nicely competitive, but nobody bragged too much when they ended up being the winner of each game.

In the afternoon, we all worked as a team to do some gardening and yard work. We pulled lots of weeds from the

flowerbeds in the front of our house. While Dad mowed the grass, Mom showed me how to use the rake to collect all the stray leaves and sticks in the backyard. I felt so accomplished when I could finally make a perfect pile all by myself. Mom said she would show me how to use the lawnmower next year when I'm a bit older.

By the time Sunday evening rolled around, I was one worn out but happy kid. We ordered in food from our favorite Mexican restaurant and watched a funny movie together before getting ready for bed. School would be starting up again in the morning, but I felt refreshed and recharged after such an amazing weekend.

Even though we didn't go anywhere too exotic, sometimes the simple weekend activities and quality time together are the most special of all. I made so many wonderful memories with my parents that I'll never forget. I feel very lucky to have such a loving family! Next weekend couldn't come soon enough as far as I was concerned. I couldn't wait to see what new adventures awaited us then!

The Best Weekend Ever!

Last weekend was soooo much fun! On Friday after school, I raced home and put on my favorite Paw Patrol pajamas. Mom had made my favorite snack - apple slices with peanut butter. I gobbled them up while watching a funny cartoon.

After the cartoon ended, I grabbed my basketball and went outside to shoot some hoops. I pretended I was Steph Curry draining three-pointers to win the championship game. \"Swish! The crowd goes wild!\" I yelled as the ball went through the net over and over. Playing basketball always gets my energy out. Soon it was time for dinner. Dad grilled up some juicy hamburgers and we had fresh corn on the cob too. My little brother made a mega-mess while eating, but Mom and Dad didn't seem to mind. They just laughed at his silly faces. After dinner, we all pitched in to clean up the kitchen. Even though chores aren't fun, working together made it goby quick. Then it was time for our favorite family tradition - movie night! We piled onto the couch under warm blankets. I nestled between Mom and Dad while my brother sat on the floor. We watched an awesome movie about a talking dog who saves Christmas. We laughed and laughed at the silly doggy antics. Halfway through, we took an intermission for hot chocolate and

freshly popped popcorn. Mmm, I love the smell of buttery popcorn!

When the movie ended, I was feeling super tired from my fun-filled day. I gave Mom and Dad big huggy kisses, then zoomed off to get ready for bed. As I snuggled under my cozy sheets, I felt so grateful for my wonderful family. I couldn't wait to see what adventures the weekend would bring.

I woke up early on Saturday, full of energy. After chugging a glass of orange juice, I bounded into Mom and Dad's room and pounced on their bed like a kangaroo. \"Wake up! Wake up! It's the weekend!\" I shouted happily. They groaned a bit, but didn't seem too grumpy.

Soon we were all dressed and headed out for the day. Our first stop was the outdoor skating rink downtown. I hadn't ice skated since last winter, so I was a bit wobbly at first. Mom and Dad skated alongside me holding both my hands. Before long, I got the hang of it again. I was zipping around the rink like a pro! My cheeks turned rosy red from the chilly air. Afterwards, we warmed up with hot chocolates loaded with mini-marshmallows and whipped cream.

Next, we went to the children's museum. I love that place! We jumped like crazy frogs in the humongous bouncy house. In

the science room, Dad showed me neat experiments where we made plastic bounce and shaving cream explode. So cool! We explored every nook and cranny of the museum, getting worn out from constant playing and learning.

By the time we left in the late afternoon, my stomach was growling like a lion. We stopped at my favorite pizza joint and I devoured three slices of pepperoni pizza. After our tummies were full and happy, we drove over to the park trails for a walk through the woods. The trees looked like magical giants with their bare, twisted branches. I loved stomping through the crunchy leaves and watching squirrels scamper. Sometimes we'd stop to admire pretty icicles hanging from branches. The cold air felt crisp and refreshing in my lungs.

When we returned home, we were all tuckered out. I snuggled up on the couch with Dad and my stuffed puppy while Mom made a toasty fire in the fireplace. As I watched the crackling flames dance, I felt peaceful and content. Dad read one of my favorite books to me - Winnie the Pooh. I could smell Mom baking something yummy for dessert in the kitchen. After awhile, Mom brought us each a plate piled high with her famous chocolate chip cookies that were still warm from the oven. They were delicious!

Pretty soon, it was time to get ready for bed. I took my bath, brushed my teeth, put on my coziest pajamas, and snuggled into bed with my puppy pal. Mom and Dad came in to tuck me in and read one last story. I felt so loved and happy. Saturday had been such an awesome day full of fun, adventure, and special family time. I couldn't wait to see what Sunday would bring! I woke up on Sunday morning to the heavenly smell of pancakes wafting from the kitchen. \"Mmm!\" I hummed as I inhaled the sweet scent. I bounded out of bed and into the kitchen to see Dad flipping pancakes on the griddle. Mom set a tall stack on my plate, drowning in warm syrup and dotted with fresh blueberries. A glass of cold milk stood beside it. I thought my taste buds would explode from happiness!

After cleaning my sticky face and hands, I put on my coat and boots to go play outside. There was a thick blanket of fresh snow covering the backyard. I stepped out and took a deep breath of the crisp winter air. My boots crunched through the pristine white powder. I stuck out my tongue to catch some fluffy flakes. They tasted so pure and clean!

I spent the next couple hours building an epic snow fort, complete with turrets, battlements, and a tunnel entrance. I patted the packed snow to form the sturdy walls. Once it was

finished, I grabbed handfuls of loose snow and shaped them into snowy orbs for ammunition. I giggled as I chucked them at my little brother, who squealed and retaliated with his own snowy barrage. We chased each other around until we were huffing and puffing from exhaustion.

\"Okay, okay, I surrender!\" I panted, holding up my gloved hands in defeat. We stumbled back inside, our wet mittens leaving a trail on the floor. Mom helped peel off our damp snow clothes and handed us mugs of steaming hot chocolate to thaw our frozen fingers.

\"Thanks Mom, you're the best!\" I told her as I took a sip of the velvety, chocolatey goodness. She gave me a warm hug and kissed the top of my head.

In the late afternoon, Dad built a roaring fire in our fireplace again. We settled in with cozy blankets and watched another fun movie - one about a puppy who becomes a baseball mascot. Every few minutes, we'd pause the movie for a quick round of charades or truth-or-dare. We all laughed hysterically at each other's silly antics. These were the simple moments I loved most - just hanging out together as a goofy family.

For dinner, Mom cooked up a hearty beef stew with fresh bakery bread. My tummy was full and warm as I sat by the fire. I

reflected on what an awesome weekend it had been. We had packed in tons of fun activities, but also lots of relaxing downtime snuggled up together at home. Smells, sights, and sounds weaved through my mind like a vibrant memory tapestry. I felt so grateful for my loving, playful parents who made weekends magical. As the fire crackled and flickered, I knew I'd always cherish these beautiful days.

So that was my weekend - full of adventures, laughs, coziness, and plenty of family time. Even though I have to go back to school tomorrow, at least I have these happy memories to look back on. I already can't wait for next weekend to make more fun memories with Mom, Dad, and my goofy little brother!
