摘要： An electric heating apparatus comprising a self-limiting heating elementelongated resistor (4) and a PTC resistor (5). The resistor is elongate and extends alongthe heating element in order to respond to the temperature of the total length of theheating element. The heating element (4) and the resistor (5) are connected in series, theresistor having a positive temperature coefficient so that its electrical resistance issubstantially less than that of the heating element when it is the normal operatingtemperature, but increases rapidly when exposed to temperatures above the normaloperating temperature.
