教材分析 1、教学内容

本单元是Go for it七年级下册中第七单元“What does he look like?”。本单元的核心话题是谈论人的外表形象(look), 教材内容围绕着描述人的外貌特点展开,让学生学会谈论人的身高、体重、发型、面部特征及着装特点,因此 „talking about sb‟s look‟ 是教学重点。通过对本单元的学习,学生能掌握本单元出现的表示人外观的词组及句型。而本课的教学内容是P 42-P43 Gammar Focus 3a(reading) 3b(pairwork) . 2、本课教学内容的作用

本课的主要教学内容P 42-P43 Gammar Focus 3a(reading) 3b(pairwork) .始终以外貌特征为主线,不但是对第一课时的巩固和运用,更是进一步引导学生会用英语介绍自己或别人的外表特征,通过交流,激发学生学习兴趣也增进生生与师生的之间的情感交流。 一、 教学目标 1、知识目标: 1)掌握词汇:

captain /team/popular/bit/joke/never/stop/brown/blonde/ good-looking 2)掌握词组:

the captain of the basketball team/ short curly blonde hair / stop talking/ a little bit 3)掌握句型:

What does he/she look like? He‟s very tall. He has curly brown hair. What do they look like? They‟re medium height.

She‟s a good-looking but she‟s a little bit quiet. He‟s very popular. She never stops talking 4)语法学习:

掌握头发的描述:漂亮+长短+形状+颜色(beautiful long curly red hair) 理解stop doing sth 的用法 2、技能目标: 1). 提高听读能力。

2).能抓住人物的主要特征来描述人物的外貌。

3).能概括人物的外貌特征并根据人物特征推理出某一人物。 4).能和合作伙伴互相交流,充分交换信息,进行合作学习。 3、情感态度目标:

1).教育学生要多发现别人的优点,学会赞美别人。

2).懂得心灵美比外表美更重要。 二、 教学重点:

1、句型What does he/she look like ? He/She is/has… 的熟练问答。 2、3a部分的理解与熟练掌握

3、掌握本课新单词和句型并熟练掌握描述人物外貌的方法。 三、 教学难点:

运用所学语言能对人物进行肖像描述并掌握描述方法且能根据人物特征推理莫一人物。 四、 学情分析:

本节课是借班上课,学生的整体英语语言运用能力偏低,发言不踊跃,由于农村学生的学情特点,本教材对学生就有一定难度。由于缺乏必要的语言基础,学生必定在课堂上不敢发言和交流,所以本节课学生课堂气氛的调动也是一大难点,而生生和师生交流也是一大难点。 五、 教学辅助:多媒体 六、教学过程设计: Step 1 Greeting

Say “hello” to the Ss and introduce myself to them . T: How are you ? I‟m Miss Shi. Nice to meet you ! S: Nice to meet you, too. T: Am I tall ? S: No. Am I heavy? S: No. T: What do I look like?

S: You are thin. You are medium build (ask two to answer) T: Oh good, (ask some Ss) What‟s your name? S: My name is…. What do you look like ? S: I‟m tall/short. I have short hair. T: what does he look like? (get to answer) (the same to other several)

既调动课堂气氛,增进师生交流,又自然引入本课课题。 Step 2 Revision

1 Get to remember the words of last lesson. 2 Show the pictures get to ask and answer in pairs.

What does he /she look like ? He‟s /She‟s …../He/She has… What do you/ they look like ? I‟m They‟re… I/ They have… 3 Learn the sentences of grammer focus in P42

根据学生的英语学习的实际情况,将有必要将第一课时的词汇和语言点进行复习,为新课内容作好铺垫也同时很好的过度到本课的重点。 Step 3 Presention

1 Listen , read and match the descriptions you hear in 3a

2 Present: show the pictures , how to describe the hair 漂亮+长短+形状+颜色

Get to say xp: short curly blonde hair短的金黄色的卷发

beautiful long black hair一头漂亮乌黑的长发

Show the pictures and get to learn and say their hair.

为进一步描述人物肖像作好语言基础的铺垫。尤其是头发的描述。 Step 4 Listen read and practice

1 Listen and match the descriptions you hear in 3a Get to read and match then check the answer. Learn some new words in the sentences。 进步提高学生的听读能力和对新单词的掌握 2 show the picture d of 3a , this is my friend Wang Lin T: (Introduce)This is a boy. His name is Liu Peng

Q: Is he tall? Is he fat? What about his hair? (after they answer the Qs) (提示:tall, curly brown hair, medium build) get to talk in pairs. 4 Show the picture b and get to describe in pairs.

(Name: Ma Yan Likes: telling jokes short ,a little heavy, beautiful black hair) 5 Get the Ss read(3a) 1 and 2 and let them ask and answer in pairs 1) What does Xu Qian look like ? 2) What about Wang Lin?

(Help to answer and describe the picture.)

6 Ask a student in front of the class and get the Ss to describe him. 7 Get to talk and fill the form: Then check the answer: Name Liu Peng Xu Qian is has likes
